Kevin Klemens – Owner, CEO
Kevin is a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S Navy Reserve after serving on active duty for 6 years. He was a Division Officer onboard USS BUNKER HILL (CG-52) and USS NEW ORLEANS (LPD-18). He was a Training Liaison Officer at Afloat Training Group San Diego and now drills as a Reservist for the Office of Naval Research in San Diego. He earned a B.A. in Studies of War and Peace from Norwich University and a M.S. in Geographic Information Science and Technology from the University of Southern California. Additionally, he holds a 100-Ton Captain’s License from the U.S. Coast Guard.
Melodie Grubbs – Field Operations, Licensed Captain
Melodie began her career as an environmental consultant providing services to clients like the Morro Bay National Estuary Program and local Resource Conservation District. Prior to working at the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County as Field Operations Manager, she served as scientist and chief mate onboard an oceanographic research vessel. She received her B.S. in Meteorology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s School of Ocean and Earth Sciences and Technology in 2006 and completed her M.S. in Geospatial Science and Technology from the University of Southern California in 2017.
